We are now ready for cabinets, trim and doors on this project. Patterson Drywall has finished all of the drywall in the home and Gary and Travis have gotten everything painted. Dan Fox of Fox Flooring has finished all of the hard wood floors and are starting on some of the tile work. Friday we took delivery of all cabinetry from Wills Milling. Today we are going to receive some of the moldings and doors.
There has been a lot going on within the last week on the home. The roof is complete, all of the soffit and fascia is on, and the siding is done. The siding is called LP smart side. This is a wood based siding that carries a 30 year baked on paint finish. Gary and Travis have gotten started on staining and varnishing the interior wood windows. It shouldn't be long before the drywall gets started.
The home on Pinnacle Point is framed up and ready for some exterior finishing. We will soon be putting soffits and siding on. The crew had this project under shingles within eight days. We will be Starting the plumbing and HVAC and getting ready for electrical work within the next couple of weeks.
Well, here we are in day two of framing on Pinnacle Point. Second level deck and walls are in place, and roof trusses are getting started. This is one of the many great things about panelized construction. The speed of this process will allow our crews to have this project under shingles on Monday. Not too bad for four days of working.
Today we took delivery of the home in Hillsboro, IL. This home is located in Pinnacle Point Subdivision on Glenn Shoals Lake. The delivery time was around 12:30 pm and construction was underway. Although we had an hour rain delay, construction took place immediately following. As you can see by the pictures, progress went well. The framing crew packed up for the night around 7:00 pm and had already gotten the 1st level deck floor and walls in place. Tomorrow we will be putting the 2nd story floor and walls up and hopefully a good start on the roof trusses. Not too bad for a day and a half.
This week at Baker Custom Homes & Buildings, Inc. we are under way with the foundation on the Pinnacle Point project. Today, Mitchell Concrete dug and poured footings for the basement walls. Tomorrow they will be forming up the basement walls and pouring them. This home features a walk out basement with a main level and an second story. Soon we will be setting the floor deck and building the walls. Check back soon for more information on this project and many more!
Here are pictures of the inside of the Gillespie building. We are finished with all the trim out process. The cabinet installers have completed and the owner will be moving into the building this weekend. The total time on this project was two months and 5 days from start to finish. This is the first post frame building that Baker Custom Homes and Buildings, Inc. has converted into a home. But, we look foward to expanding into this area also. It is a very efficient way to do home construction. Total project is 960 square feet with a price tag under $90,000.00!
Update on 30x32x9 Building in Gillespie area! We are currently in the process of interior finish work on the 2 bedroom one bath Home. As you can see in the pictures, the Exterior is complete, the drywall has been finished and painted, and the flooring is installed. Late this week the cabinets will be installed and ready for trim and doors. Check back for more updates on this project and many more in the future.
This is the before pictures of a new home project in the Hillsboro area. This project will be under way very shortly. We removed several trees last week to prepare the site for excavation. This Week we took delivery of a 30x32x9 Wick Building in the Gillespie area. This project will soon be under way next week. It is a studwall built building on a concrete slab that will be turned into a two bedroom home. It will feature a kitchen, living room, bathroom/laundry area, and two bedrooms.
